Roller Blast Machines

Blastcleaning of rollers in-situ is a typical application of our blast systems with blast gun. The blast gun is traversed along the rotating roller which need not be dismounted from the calender or any other fixture.

- Traversing gear for 2 blast guns
Calender rollers used in the plastic foil industry are etched.
Etching at regular intervals is necessary to maintain a consistent, uniform surface finish of the roller.
For blastcleaning generally aluminium oxide is used.
Blastcleaning and etching of rollers as well as producing a non-stick surface by means of steel shot are the main applications.
Continuous-cycle blasting with uniform shot size

- Continuous-cycle pressure-fed machine
There are applications requiring continuous blasting without any interruption for up to 10 hours to produce a uniform blasting pattern.
For pressure-blasting this means that there is no time for an ”interruption” to top up the main pressure vessel.
Here, the solution is a transfer vessel fitted between storage hopper and main pressure vessel. From this transfer vessel the reclaimed abrasive “already pressurised” is automatically conveyed at intervals to the main vessel.

- Recharging vessel
Another option to ensure a uniform shot size and thus reproducible results is an automatic recharging vessel.
With this vessel the amount of abrasive within the system is kept at the same level
Roller Blast Cabinets
Where due to the shape of the roller a blast gun cannot be used or where the roller has to be reworked manually we offer a variety of specially-engineered blast cabinets:

- Blast cabinet for manual blasting

- Side-loaded cabinet

- Top-loaded cabinet

- Front-loaded cabinet
