Belt & Plate Blast Machines
These machines are used for the dust-free processing of large, flat surfaces.
High output (blast rate) is achieved by two measures:
1. Use of large blast guns
Since the blast rate is directly connected with the quantity of abrasive thrown onto the surface extra large blast nozzles are used. To recover the huge quantities of abrasive and remove debris from the surfaces specially designed gun bodies are used some of which feature dual vacuum recovery hoses.

2. Precise traversing of blast gun and/or workpiece
When processing large surfaces it is important that neither gaps nor overlaps are produced. This is achieved by precisely traversing the blast gun and/or the workpiece.
- Gantry-mounted blast machine for large ship panels
In the case of gantry systems either the complete blast machine or only the blast gun is traversed along the workpiece.
- Belt blast machine integrated in a continuous casting line to produce copper coils
Here the workpiece (steel belt) is continuously advanced while 4 blast guns clean the surface wiper-like in a back-and-forward motion..
